Legalities.com provides commentary on American legal issues and constitutional law.
The commentaries are written and/or edited by an American lawyer with many decades of legal experience.
Legalities.com is thoroughly independent. We do not receive any financial contributions, fees, sponsorships, gifts, or any other forms of compensation from anyone or any business. We are entirely self-funded, and accordingly all the opinions and analyses are ours alone.
Thus, no one is paying us anything to influence our opinions, and if they tried, we’d reject the money. We have no advertising; we sell no products; we sell no services. You may like what you read here, or you may not like it, but at least you’ll know that we’re writing what we believe, and direction is not given to us by anyone else.
Our goal is to combat misinformation, and to provide you with “our take” on these issues, so that you can make informed decisions based on reliable data.
There are no charges and no fees for our website. There are no subscriptions. There are no “pay walls” like you’ll find elsewhere.
We have purposefully not identified our ownership or our writers (which are one and the same). We’re not interested in becoming famous on a personal level, We’re also not that interested in becoming rich (it’s too late in life for that!). Given that we’re not looking to become known or rich, there is no reason to allow ourselves to become subjected to all the weird, nasty, vengeful, and downright dangerous people who render physical harm against those with whom they disagree. We’d rather sit in tranquility and peace and type out our thoughts for you to read. We have no interest in being “doxed,” and going out and facing an angry mob that can’t tolerate people who hold our views.
We are solidly American. We are admittedly conservative and often (but not always) Republican. We like our country and our Constitution. We like our culture, our music, our foods, our way of life. But there are things we don’t like about our country: We don’t like the direction that the left in politics and in academia are pushing us. We don’t like uncontrolled and unvetted immigration. We don’t like all the increasing crime. We don’t like a revolving-door system of justice where criminals are set free hours after their arrest, and where misdemeanors are not even prosecuted. We don’t ike “unsound” money, where governmental policies have allowed, even encouraged, our dollar to lose most of its purchasing value over the years. We don’t ike judges who believe that they are superior to both the Legislative branch and the Executive Branch whenever they disagree with those branches. We don’t like graffiti. We don’t like demonstrations or protests that are not peaceful. We surely respect that there are a lot of things that may legitimately be criticized, but over-all it’s good here in the U.S.A., and we are grateful to our ancestors that they came to this land.
We hope you will find our writings, our thoughts, and our values commendable and of interest, and that you will return often to legalities.com to read our latest postings.
