You may love this content, or you may hate it, but that aside, it demonstrates the power and quality of AI productions. One very talented person, sitting in front of a PC, can make a video that, only a few years ago, would have been a major production for an established studio with hundreds of employees.
Just think about the quality of Disney animations — “Snow White,” “The Lady and the Tramp,” “Pinocchio,” “Bambi,” to name just a few — and how wonderful they were to watch when we were young, but each one of them was a major studio effort, with gigantic budgets and hundreds of contributors. Now, one person with a computer, sitting in his or her pj’s can accomplish a work such as the one shown above. AI is truly an amazing force, but as we have pointed out in other posts on this site, it can be a force for good or for evil. We, as individuals, have no capacity to steer this AI ship, and the best we can do is be ever vigilant to the fact that whatever you see, unless you are seeing the event in real time, can be a false depiction. Of course laws can be passed to stop people from producing misleading AI videos. But, as we all know, there are laws against murder too, and that hasn’t stopped murders. The problem, of course, is that the greatest evil that AI can produce will be made by governments for propaganda purposes, and there’s no law that will stop that.
